We bought this monitor couple weeks ago and so far we are very pleased with it. When we first set it up it interfered with our house phone and it was very static, but then we just changed the channel on the monitor and now it's silent and no interference. It's nice to watch my baby while she sleeps and nice to hear her owing to the monitor if i'm in the kitchen. The small TV could be array operated as well,if you have to take it with you everyplace (i take it downstairs to the laundry room,or it's nice to have by when i'm gardening while my daughter is napping). I highly recommend it to everyone!
One thing though,it doesn't "check" baby's breathing,like some other monitors do. |
Fantastic for the price!

I received this as a gift for my second baby. I was not really sure if it was something I really "needed", but we borrowed the monitor we'd used for our first baby, so we needed something, and since we were given this, I figured I would try it out.
My son is 11 weeks ancient and I have been using this since the third night he was home from the sickbay. I could not get any sleep w/ him in our room, and out of desperation place him in his crib in his own room that third night. I hooked up the monitor and loved the fact that I could see him as well as hear him.
I did have to adjust the channel to "C" instead of "A" since of interference, but once I adjusted it, there has been smallest interference.
My only complaint is that the volume is very loud, even on the lowest background. I just need to barely be able to hear him since I sleep so lightly now that I have babies in the house. And the lowest background for this is just too loud. I even taped over the volume holes on the bottom of the unit, but it did not help much.
But, it makes no variation to us now, since we just leave the sound off during the night, having just the video part on. It works well for me since I can hear him if he starts fussing, and can see whether he is in need of me getting out of bed or am I just examination him fuss for a minute and go back to sleep. I like it. It has saved me many trips of getting in and out of bed to check to see if he's breathing or not. I can usually tell by staring at the monitor for a minute or two.
This device does not alert you if the baby stops breathing like some claim to do, but that was the type of monitor we used w/ our first son, and it was, in my opinion, just a attention-grabber. This is more reliable to me since I can see him w/ my own 2 eyes.
I recommend this to anyone who wants a simple device to use at night to ease your mind, and help you sleep! :-) |
Better than probable . . .

| After reading reviews of seemingly every video monitor system on the market, it became apparent that they all have their fans and their detractors. I was worried to spend too much money on something that might not work well, but I still wanted a "quality" device, so I opted for this one. I have to say I have been very pleasantly surprised. The representation is clear, and the sound doesn't bother me at all -- maybe since I live in the city and am used to noise, but to me it's just a gentle white noise. Also, you can turn the sound off and just keep the representation (or vice versa) if you want. When my baby cries, the sound is crisp and clear. In the end, this monitor works just so as advertised, nothing fancy, just an simple way to keep an eye on your baby at all times. I live in an Apartment building building construction and was worried about static and interference, but so far, none (I've been using it for about three weeks). Highly recommended. |

| We have been without fault pleased with this video monitor. It works well day or night. We have only had some interference issues when there was construction on the road next to our house... but if not, we haven't had any vex. Our neighbors have a different Summer monitor and we haven't had any issues with seeing each other's homes or anything. Our four year ancient likes to go up and talk with our one year ancient when he awakens from his nap, and I can listen in/watch while finishing up making lunch! Video monitors are a fantastic thought! Just wish it didn't take up so much counter space... |
