I use this to make sure our dog goes out the doggy door in the basement when it's raining instead of on the basement floor. It works well but it does have a line across the screen and always moves to the bottem the whole time you have it on. So the representation isn't as clear but it does the job and that's all I needed. The ancient one started conking out and I'd have to reset it every few days (turn power off and then on on the camera downstairs - which started really defeating the gathering). The representation was much more clear without interference and I believe the ancient one was the same name as the new one, Astak (the ancient camera doesn't have a name on it anywhere). Anyway, I cought her going in the basement (which is, I'm told, what you have to do to be able to change that behavior) and told her to go further than. She did and we've had no more accidents when it's raining. Thanks to Astak.

Brilliant product and the tilt and pan is so vital when your baby moves in her sleep. you dont need to keep running back to the room to fix the camera. but on channel 1 there was a lot of interference with our wifi so we switched the frequency to channel three. there's still a small interference since we have concrete walls and sit two rooms away but by and large this is an brilliant product. It allows you to place rechargeable batteries but does not charge the batteries when plugged in. you'll have to hold a mount seperately.
Works well, but array hungry

This monitor works well and helps me keep an eye on our 2 year ancient twins. That is, as long as you use the included AC adapter. It uses 4 AAA batteries when unplugged, and really eats them up in a small time. Also, I returned the first unit I received, since when unplugged, if you left it on for more than a couple of summary, the back would get very hot. I found that it was the batteries that were getting hot and searing owing to the back plate. Then, the screen would suddenly go crazy and it would emit a loud perky sound. Now I use the 2nd unit I recieved only when I want to do a quick check of their room. So in the end, I have to have a run of the mill sound-based monitor, and if I hear something, I can turn this one on and see what is going on.
Brilliant!!

I paid $70 in a open item on Frys, it works perfect. This is a brilliant product especially for the tilt capacity, this is fantastic. I have friends who bought expensive models and they where very impressed by the tilt capacity on this one.
Excellent Product

This is a excellent product, but the first one I received had to go back since within 10 summary the receiver went out on me. I just got my new one yesterday and have played with it on and off since then with no conundrum. It does EAT the batteries, so it is best to use the included power supply with the receiver.
